Ce site mémorial est dédié à Jean-Marie Blanc, décédé à l'âge de 26 ans dans un crash d'hélicoptère le 28 janvier 1977. Jean-Marie travaillait pour EDF Emosson et pilotait seul un hélicoptère de type Lama SA 315B de la compagnie Heli-Air/Gyrafrance lorsque l'accident s'est produit. Le mémorial se compose d'une plaque de pierre noire gravée, montée sur un rocher en granit. Il est situé sur le versant près du sentier menant à l'Aiguillette des Posettes depuis le hameau du Tour.
