Cette croix en bois est située au Siseray le long du magnifique Chemin des Diligences entre le centre-ville de Vallorcine et le petit hameau de Barberine. Le texte "Mission 1941" a été gravé dans la croix. La croix se trouve à un carrefour avec l'un des sentiers principaux qui monte au Refuge de Loriaz depuis Vallorcine, approchant le refuge depuis le côté nord-est.
Le Chemin des Diligences est un itinéraire historique datant de 1792 qui constitue un lien important vers Martigny en Suisse. C'est un sentier magnifique, traversant principalement des terres agricoles et reliant les petits hameaux de la vallée de Vallorcine.
